I’m not a huge fan of spending money on presents, so I took a peek through my crafting bin and just used materials I had lying around. Easy and cheap – when do you hear those two words around the holidays? To give away, I hung these on the door knobs of my neighbours, but I would totally use this craft as gift tags on your presents as well. Just add a to & from message on the back!
To make, all I did was cut out circles (around the size of a coffee mug), then wrote some cute holiday words in gold Martha Stewart paint marker, like joy and noel. I wrote initials on some too – a good idea for the crowd not celebrating around the holidays. Then, I whipped out my trust glue gun and hot glued some festive ribbon on the back, in a loop so that they can hang. I used white cotton ribbon, one with gold trim and the other with a festive ivy print.
These would make great cards for any large group, like a classroom or residence, but also have the added benefit of being able to be hung on the christmas tree! These took no time at all and looked super cute, but if you’re willing to put in a little more work than 5 minutes, I’ve shown below some other easy DIY ornaments. Enjoy!
